Why did you choose to pursue this degree, and why did you choose Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine to pursue this degree?
When I began searching for a master’s program, I sought one that not only aligned with my bachelor’s degree but also ignited my passion and curiosity. During my research, I discovered the MAPP program, which seamlessly integrated several of my key interests. My background in advocacy and education for animal welfare made this program an ideal fit. I specifically chose the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine because of the warmth and genuine interest I

experienced when I reached out with questions. The immediate kindness and attentiveness I received, coupled with an impromptu visit to the campus, where I immediately felt a strong sense of belonging, solidified my decision to commit to the MAPP program.

What are your interests and/or experience relative to your program?
I have always been deeply committed to animal welfare. My personal experience includes working with an organization dedicated to animal advocacy and education, specifically focusing on the wildlife and aquatic life of Patcong Creek in Somers Point, New Jersey.

What are your career goals after completing the program?
After completing the MAPP program, my personal goal is to attend veterinary school, with a strong desire to return to Tufts for my D.V.M. I’m particularly interested in pursuing exotic medicine through the D.V.M. program. While my exact career path is still evolving, I am keen on specializing, with anesthesiology being one of the areas I’m considering. Ultimately, I hope to build a career that focuses on exotic medicine.
