Annual Safety Report
Provisions of the Jeanne Clery Campus Crime Disclosure Act of 1998, the Drug-Free School and Communities Act Amendments of 1989, the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988 and the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 afford the Department of Public Safety with an opportunity to distribute important safety information annually.
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (the “Clery Act”), Tufts University is pleased to present the 2025 Tufts University Annual Security and Fire Safety Report. An electronic copy of the report is available online here.
A printed copy of the report is also available at the Department of Public Safety location on your campus or by calling the Department of Public Safety at 617‐627-3030 or emailing Clery@tufts.edu.
The Clery Act requires colleges and universities to provide information regarding campus security and personal safety, including topics such as crime prevention, fire safety, crime reporting procedures, emergency notification procedures, and other policies and matters of importance related to security and safety on campus. The Clery Act requires colleges and universities to report crime statistics for the three previous calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain non‐campus buildings or property, and on public property within the campus or immediately adjacent to and accessible from campus. The Act also requires the disclosure of fire statistics for on‐campus student housing facilities.
The information is updated by the first day of October each year.
