Applying for Financial Aid

Funding your professional education requires careful planning. We are here to help you through the process. Once you learn the basics, you can make the most of the funding available to you. We encourage you to start early.

Application Process

Prospective D.V.M. Students

To apply for institutional aid, prospective D.V.M. students must submit the following by February 1, 2024:

  • 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid FAFSA (Federal School Code is E00362)
  • CSS Profile (School Code is 7676)
    • Student and parent(s) must complete application. 

Students must also provide signed copies of the following documents:

  • Student’s 2022 federal tax return (w-2 forms & tax schedules)
  • Parents’ federal tax return (w-2 forms & tax schedules)

For information about exceptions to the parent information requirement, please visit: Parent Information & Exceptions. Please review the exception criteria and contact the Financial Aid Office to request the form required to document your circumstances.

To apply for federal aid only, prospective D.V.M. students must submit the 2024-25 FAFSA. Parent information is not required if applying only for federal aid which consists of federal student loans and Federal Work Study.

Continuing D.V.M. Students

To apply for institutional aid, continuing D.V.M. students must submit the following by March 22, 2024:

  • 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid FAFSA (Federal School Code is E00362)
  • CSS Profile (School Code is 7676)
    • Student and parent(s) must complete application.
    • A Profile fee waiver code will be provided to students applying for institutional aid.

Students must also provide signed copies of the following documents:

  • Student’s 2022 federal tax return (w-2 forms & tax schedules)
  • Parents’ federal tax return (w-2 forms & tax schedules)

To apply for federal aid only, continuing D.V.M. students must submit the 2024-25 FAFSA .  Parent information is not required if applying only for federal aid which consists of federal student loans and Federal Work Study.
