This includes programs and services such as the annual Career Fair, networking sessions, professional headshots, job board, and small group workshops.
Career Service Resources
Connect on Handshake
Handshake is the main home for our Career Services' events, digital resources, appointments, and job board. This online platform is available free of charge to students, alumni, and employers. Questions about connecting with us on Handshake should be directed to Cummings School Career Services.
Students: Handshake accounts are automatically created for current students—please log in to Handshake using your Tufts credentials.
Alumni: Cummings School alumni before Fall 2025 are not automatically set up with Handshake accounts. Alumni can request a Handshake account by creating an Alumni account.
Employers: By using Handshake, employers can post jobs opportunities, communicate with students who may be interested in your company, host info sessions for students, and access Tufts University career fairs.
- On-Campus Employers: Create a Handshake account. This account should match your employee role, not your department's information. When prompted, please choose "Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University" as your employer. Once you are done creating your account, it will be submitted for approval to Cummings School Career Services. It may take up to five business days for your request to be approved.
- All Other Employers: Create a Handshake account. This account should match your employee role, not your company’s information. When prompted to choose an employer, you can select a pre-existing company or create a new company. Employers seeking to engage with Tufts University students and alumni must request and receive approval through our Handshake portal. We have outlined the guidelines for employers to be approved. It may take up to five business days for your request to be approved. You can learn more about requesting access to school networks on Handshake's website.
