Cummings School marks a number of events annually to celebrate our students, campus, and community.
Every year, Cummings School opens its doors to the community and invites neighbors to visit and explore. Faculty, staff, and students greet visitors, share information about animal care and comfort, demonstrate current projects, and share in the fun of the day.
Explore campus and other event happenings and join Dean Alastair Cribb, D.V.M., Ph.D., for an exclusive alumni tour. Following Open House, join us at Town House Tavern in Grafton center to celebrate milestone reunion years and reconnect with classmates.
Registration required in advance here.
Welcoming the parents and families of our students to campus has become a beloved tradition. The day is filled with informational activities, guided campus tours, faculty presentations, moderated discussions with alumni, and many other opportunities to see and hear about what our students experience.
The White Coat Ceremony celebrates our third year D.V.M. students embarking on fifteen months of clinical rotations to complete their degrees. The ceremony is held in March of each year with faculty, staff, family, and friends there to congratulate the students. Students receive their white coats and recite the veterinary student oath (authored by members of the Class of 2005).
Commencement is celebrated in May each year. Cummings School welcomes graduates and their families and friends to campus to celebrate their accomplishments. Hooding and the presentation of diplomas are the highlights.
