Biography
Michigan
B.S. in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience, University of Michigan- Ann Arbor, 2024
Why did you choose to pursue this degree, and why did you choose Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine to pursue this degree?
As I was thinking into my future careers, I knew I wanted to do something related with animals but wasn’t sure if I wanted to get into the medical side of the field or introduce myself to other non-medical opportunities. While looking into different veterinary programs and master programs, I found the MAPP program at Tufts. It was the perfect combination between my two majors, medicine and social sciences, with an emphasis on the animal aspect, which is something I am passionate about and want to pursue in my life.
What are your interests and/or experience relative to your program?
I have been working/volunteering at Friemann Galvin Research Center at the University of Notre Dame, and my main job was to maintain and care for the research animals (rats, mice, and fish). I have also worked in numerous veterinary clinics during school breaks.
What are your career goals after completing the program?
I am still unsure in what I want to do in the future, but as I am passionate about animals and academia, hopefully I’ll end up in a D.V.M. or research program!
