Biography
Kady is a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) with almost a decade of veterinary experience, and many years of shelter volunteering. Kady has extensive experience with small animals, as well as experience working with horses, marine mammals, and sea turtles. After achieving bachelor's degrees in marine biology and chemistry from Roger Williams University in 2008, she started her vet tech career as an overnight Inpatient/Emergency and Critical Care tech at a large referral hospital. After five years practicing in the ECC, ophthalmology, and neurology services, she moved to Scotland for a year to pursue a Master's of Research (MRes) in Marine Mammal Research at the University of St Andrews, which she completed in 2014. Kady joined the Neurology and Neurosurgery Service at another large specialty and referral practice in 2016, where she split her time between performing anesthesia and running appointments. She joined the Clinical Trials Office in August 2020, where she primarily helps run the Clinical Science Research Lab. In her free time, she likes hiking, biking, dancing, trying to improve her banjo playing, and relaxing with her cats.
