Biography

Dr Beth Miller is a veterinarian with 26 years of experience with international development and gender equity in developing countries. A graduate of LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Miller has also operated a small-scale goat dairy, and a mobile private veterinary practice treating all types of livestock in North Carolina USA. For 10 years, she served as Director of Gender Equity for Heifer International, using livestock as an entry point for sustainable community development. She started Miller Agricultural Consulting Inc. in 2002, to provide project planning, training, research and evaluation services to a variety of clients, including World Bank, USAID, CGIAR, FAO, IFPRI, Heifer, Winrock, MCC, ADRA, Land O’Lakes, Vets Without Borders, GALVmed and InterAction. Dr. Miller also teaches classes in biological sciences and international development at Pulaski Technical College and University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
