Why did you choose to pursue this degree, and why did you choose Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine?
Conservation medicine encapsulates concepts and areas of science and policy in which I am eager to learn more about and dive deeper into. When I found the MCM program at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, I knew it was a program that would provide me with the knowledge necessary to forge an impactful career in the space. I chose the program because it caters well to students of different knowledge backgrounds, has a great curriculum, and very experienced and enthusiastic faculty. I am excited to make the most of this opportunity!

What are your interests and/or experiences related to conservation medicine?
I have a broad range of interests that I hope to narrow throughout this program. Currently, I am interested in learning more about restoration projects and their origins and goals, zoonotic diseases, and other aspects of animal/human relationships.

What are your career goals after completing the program?
Career-wise, after completing the program I am eager to continue honing my skills and knowledge in the conservation medicine space as the field continues to evolve. While I don't necessarily have my sight set on a specific job title yet, I am going into the program with an open mind, and I am excited to get into a growing field where there are many options for me to hold an impactful career. I'm excited to see how my answer to this question shifts over the next several months.
