Schools are required to assign a reduced rent figure to students who live with their parents. The Total Budget category is adjusted by using the following rent, food, utilities and household supplies figures:

MA Residents: The estimated MA tuition subsidy credit of $6,800 results in a net tuition rate of $56,322 for state residents. The subsidy is subject to adequate appropriation from the Commonwealth of MA. Students will be notified of any changes.

The health insurance amount above is based on the single person plan. Two-person plan: $11,208 Family plan: from $16,812 - $22,416

* Incoming students whose program begins in August will incur an additional charge of $457 for health insurance based on 20-21 rates for individual coverage and will be higher if enrolled in two-person or family plan.

*  Incoming students enrolled in the DVM/MPH program will incur an additional charge or $914 for health insurance based on 20-21 rates for individual coverage for the months of July and August and will be higher if enrolled in two-person or family plan.

* Students must enroll in the health plan or waive insurance if eligible for a waiver. Visit https://medicine.tufts.edu/administration/SAHA for health insurance requirements and waiver information.

The additional health plan costs may be included in the cost of education (notify aid office if an increase in budget/loans is needed).
