Boehringer Ingelheim Veterinary Scholars Program

Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine has been awarded a grant through the Boehringer Ingelheim Veterinary Scholars Program. This program is designed to expose veterinary students in their first or second year of training to basic and applied/clinical research. It is anticipated that this hands-on experience will help build skill sets necessary to critically evaluate data and its potential impact on patient care. The complex interdependence of animal and human health has created a special need for veterinarians with expertise in research and it is hoped that this experience will inspire students to consider careers in veterinary medicine that include research.
