Why did you choose to pursue this degree, and why did you choose Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine to pursue this degree?
I chose to pursue a degree in Conservation Medicine to deepen my understanding of the intersection between animal health and environmental sustainability. combined with my passion for improving agricultural practices, has driven me to seek solutions that address both wildlife and human health, of which Cummings School is the best in the entire country where this is possible.
What are your interests and experience relative to conservation medicine?
My interests in conservation medicine are rooted in my extensive experience working with livestock and animal health. I have researched various aspects of animal health, including vaccination protocols and the prevention of infectious diseases, aligning closely with the principles of conservation medicine.
What are your career goals after completing the program?
Upon completing the MCM program, I aim to leverage my knowledge and skills to address conservation challenges in Liberia and Africa at large, particularly in improving sustainable livestock practices and environmentally sound animal health management systems. I aspire to work with international organizations and local communities to implement conservation strategies that enhance productivity and protect ecosystems. Additionally, I plan to continue my research and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for animal health and conservation issues.
