B.A., Integrative Biology, Skidmore College, 2019

Why did you choose to pursue this degree, and why did you choose Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine to pursue this degree?

While in my current job, I’ve worked alongside many current and past Cummings students who helped push me to continue towards my goal of being able to advocate for and protect the best interests of the animals we all live alongside. Cummings happens to offer all of the opportunities that will help me achieve these goals as well as harbors a progressive and welcoming environment to its students!

During my time in the MAPP program, I would like to focus on using my problem-solving skills, inventiveness, and drive for knowledge to further research and come up with simple ways for humans to connect with their environment and engage with it in a positive, compassionate, and constructive manner.

What are your career goals after completing the program?

No matter where I end up, my main goals are to have a career in which I can help animals directly, as well as provide the public with knowledge about preventative care for their pets and educate them on how to interact with, appreciate, and preserve the wildlife around them.
