Qingying Feng, MCM’22

Biography

Hi, my name is Qingying Feng. I’m currently working as a research assistant in a project on infant gut resistome and a vet assistant in the Veterinary hospital of Nanjing Hongshan Forest Zoo. I had a lot of research experiences related to microbiome during my undergraduate. I have been working on various research projects like helping a young male Chimpanzee returning to his community and studying the microbiome of Golden Snub-nosed Monkeys during the past eight months. Furthermore, the interdisciplinary curriculum really drew my attention to this program. I’m indeed interested in the concept of “One Health Community” and looking forward to learning more about this in the MCM program. Furthermore, my ultimate career goal is to become a research veterinarian and contribute to the field of conservation with a focus on preserving native species. My interests outside the field are digital painting, video games, and making clay artifacts.
