Biography
Metro-Atlanta, Georgia
B.S. Biochemistry, Kennesaw State University, 2014
Why did you choose to pursue this degree, and why did you choose Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine to pursue this degree?
I have wanted to switch careers from tissue-organ donation to human-animal interaction for a while and am finally in the position to do that. I chose the Tufts MAPP program since it was in-person, focused on HAI, and the previous/ongoing research fascinates me. Tufts affiliation with Pet Partners was also exciting.
What are your interests and/or experience relative to your program?
I have been a registered therapy dog team with Pet Partners and my rescue Staffordshire mix for a year now. We are very excited to join Tufts Paws for People.
What are your career goals after completing the program?
I hope to be admitted into a Ph.D. program and continue research in HAI.
