Why did you choose to pursue this degree, and why did you choose Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine to pursue this degree?
When I first discovered the MAPP program, I had no idea that something like it existed and quickly recognized it as something I’d been searching for my entire life. I was familiar with the Cummings School having grown up in the area and attending an after-school program here back in 6th grade. Finding such a unique program at such a prestigious institution that had always been there in my own backyard felt like serendipity!

What are your interests and/or experience relative to your program?
I’m very interested in companion animals—particularly cats and community cats’ issues, service/assistance animals, the human-animal bond and its effects on mental health/wellness, animal rescue and rehabilitation, and animals in entertainment.

What are your career goals after completing the program?
I’m not sure exactly where I’ll be post-MAPP, but it is my sincere hope and belief that I’ll be on my way to a career where I feel spiritually fulfilled, and where I feel I’m making a difference and following my calling of working with and helping animals.
