Biography
Trevor Copes is from a small rural community in Mid-Michigan. He grew up on a cash-crop and livestock farm which fostered his love for livestock medicine. While on the farm, his favorite part of the year was farrowing season and working with the piglets in their swine herd. He began working with animals from a young age and continued to through showing swine and cattle while in 4-H and FFA.
He attended Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan where he received a Bachelor of Science, Biology. While at Saginaw Valley, he helped found a philanthropic fraternity and served as president of the wrestling team.
He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts Cummings University, where he was an active member of the student livestock club and an employee on their farm. His specific livestock interests include swine production, ruminant medicine, and dairy production, with a special interest in calf husbandry.
He also enjoys hiking, hunting, and fishing in his spare time.
