Biography

Dr. Atalani Jackson is a 2023 graduate of Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine. She grew up on a sailboat in Southern California and attributes this experience to her love of wildlife. She has a diverse background in wildlife conservation, having served in roles at research institutions, non-profits, and wildlife rehabilitation centers prior to veterinary school. During her veterinary studies, Dr. Jackson was involved in creating the Tuskegee Chapter of The American Association of Wildlife Veterinarians and served as its President for three years. Her professional interests encompass One Health and conservation education, conservation medicine, infectious disease, and wound care. When she's not at the clinic, Dr. Jackson immerses herself in the great outdoors, explores museums, and cherishes quality time with her partner, two mini Australian Shepherds, and two guinea pigs.
