D.V.M., Diplomate ACVECC
Biography
Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University's community welcomes Dr. Sean Majoy as the inaugural Director of Richard McLaughlin Center for Operational K9S. Dr. Majoy, a V06 graduate of Cummings School, completed his residency in Emergency and Critical Care at Henry and Lois Foster Hospital for Small Animals in 2012, where he developed a strong interest in trauma management. He served as faculty at Cummings School in Emergency and Critical Care and as a criticalist at Tufts’ partner hospital, Tufts Veterinary Emergency and Treatment Specialties (TVETS), in Walpole, MA. He has two decades of experience working with Operational K9S, both as an officer in the US Army Veterinary Corps and with police agencies and EMS services in Massachusetts to develop pre-hospital care guidelines and training for EMS so they may treat and transport Police K9S, as allowed under Nero’s Law.
