Ruby Laufer

Biography
Dr. Ruby Laufer graduated with distinction from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh in 2026. She has long loved wildlife, gaining experience at hospitals in Cape Cod and England, as well as falconry centers in Scotland and game reserves in South Africa. She joined the Tufts wildlife team in July 2026, and her specific areas of interest are raptor medicine and trauma management.
She is currently working towards publication of a report on causes of blackbird mortalities at a wildlife hospital in England.
Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, reading, and exploring her new neighborhood! Any recommendations for good restaurants are welcome and encouraged.
