Ekele Ikpegbu

Research/Areas of Interest
Dr. Ekele's research interests include teleost digestive tract, molecular regulation of bone development, and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.

Biography
Dr. Ekele Ikpegbu joined Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine as an Assistant Teaching Professor of Anatomy in the Department of Comparative Pathobiology on July 1, 2023. Dr. Ekele's career includes teaching veterinary anatomy, histology, embryology, and supervising student projects for over 14 years at the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture in Nigeria. During his time there, he also served on numerous committees and in administrative roles. He has experience teaching veterinary anatomy at other Universities, including University of Edinburgh, where he completed his PhD, and St Georges' University Grenada. In his spare time, Dr. Ekele has published a novel, Countryman, and is working on a play. He is a member of the charity organization, Good Samaritan.
