Christina DeJoseph, MCM’22

Biography

My name is Christina, and I earned my BA in Kinesiology with a minor in Spanish from McDaniel College in 2018. I then pursued the Animals and Human Health Certificate from the University of Denver. My passion for exploration, movement, and education have manifested throughout many positions: environmental educator, snowboard instructor, dog sled musher, among others. During undergraduate, I worked on a community-based project in the Peruvian Amazon, witnessing the intricate web of conservation efforts firsthand. My interdisciplinary spirit is deeply aligned with Conservation Medicine. Biodiversity preservation, solution-oriented climate change response, and canid studies are among my many interests. My ultimate career goal is to bring Neurophysiology, Animal Behavior, and Conservation Medicine together. Beyond my work and studies, I love to snowboard, am learning to hang glide, and enjoy hiking. I share my home with Phoenix, Ellie, Fig, and Banjo—a dog, cat, and two rats, respectively.
