Biography
Dr. Wood is a 1992 graduate of Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, she completed an internship at the University of Georgia in small animal medicine and surgery. Dr. Wood finished her residency in medical oncology at Tufts University in 1996 and received her board certification in 1997. Following her residency she spent several years at the University of Minnesota followed by time at a private referral practice outside of Washington, D.C. She then moved back to Massachusetts to be nearer to family and friends and spent five years at the Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston followed by time working in New Hampshire and the Metrowest area. Dr. Wood is currently section head of oncology and enjoys downhill skiing, hiking, and volunteering with local service organizations. Her special areas of interest include hematologic malignancies, clinical trials, and working with industry to develop new cancer treatments for companion animals.
