Dawn Miller

Biography
Dawn's career experience includes a broad background in research and industry. Growing up, her participation in 4-H raising rabbits and goats motivated her to earn a BS in Animal Physiology at the University of California at Davis. She went on to study neurophysiology and animal behavior, where she became interested in health and disease processes. After working at U.C. Berkeley and Roche Biosciences, she moved east with her husband where she spent 13 years at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center. Another move to Connecticut, and the pandemic, gave her the opportunity to earn an A.S. in Veterinary Technology at Middlesex Community College and become Certified as a Veterinary Technician. In Dawn’s free time, she can be found boating, travelling on her motorcycle, or attempting to train her stubborn Duck Toller.
