Class of 2021, Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine

When did you attend the AVM program, and which age level(s) did you attend?
Summer 2014 – During college

What did you like most about the AVM program?
Being able to take different classes that some vet students take that I normally would not have been exposed to in undergrad.

What are your favorite memories from your AVM experience(s)?
Being able to interact with the animals on the campus in a way similar to how the veterinary students get to interact with them.

How did AVM prepare you for veterinary school or help you in your exploration of veterinary medicine?
It helped me have a better understanding of what it was like to be in class for an extended amount of time learning about veterinary medicine. It also helped me get a great feel for what the Tufts campus is like.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with potential AVM participants?
One of the best parts is that current students are used as the facilitators, meaning that you can ask them questions without the pressure of administrators hearing you, allowing for a more honest question and subsequent answer.
