Two-year grants range from $200,700 to $221,600 total, inclusive of salary, 10% fringe, and a $25,000 annual flexible expense allowance
Eligibility
Senior postdoctoral researchers and mentored clinician-scientists working in Massachusetts.
By October 1, 2027:
- Applicants without clinical training must have completed 3-6 years of full-time postdoctoral research and have 90% protected time for research.
- Applicants with clinical training must have completed no more than 6 years cumulative full-time postdoctoral research experience since completion of residency or similar clinical training and have at least 70% protected time for research.

OVERVIEW
The Charles A. King Trust Fellowship Award supports senior postdoctoral fellows and clinician-scientists in Massachusetts to investigate the causes of diseases in human beings, and/or improve methods of treatment for human diseases. United States citizenship is not required.
Private foundations, individuals and other contributors have joined the Charles A. King Trust in supporting the Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program. Proposals focused on cancer or vision are highly encouraged due to the availability of dedicated fellowships supported by the generous funding contributed respectively from the Sara Elizabeth O’Brien Trust, Bank of America, N.A., Trustee, and the Simeon J. Fortin Charitable Foundation, Bank of America, N.A., Trustee.

American Kennel Club (AKC) CHF = Oak grants (>$30,000, including 15% indirect) and ACORN grants (up to $30,000, including 15% indirect)
- Pre-Proposal would need the internal routing
- Internal deadline is: 10/05/2026 (Monday) – please contact your research administrator if you are planning to submit.
- Pre-Proposal deadline: 10/20/2026 (Tuesday) – after internal approval, PI needs to submit it directly to AKC website.

Dear colleagues,
The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals 2026 Research Grant RFP will be open 4/10 until 7/10 for research in any discipline that addresses a broad scope of topics in animal welfare: animal behavior, animal cruelty and/or psychological trauma as a consequence of cruelty, increasing access to veterinary care, farm animal welfare, or animal sheltering. Please feel free to share with any faculty or students who may be interested in applying.
The solicitation is also open to researchers studying topics with relevance to animal welfare (e.g., criminal justice, public health, psychology, economics) who wish to use the funding to add information about pet health, animal maltreatment, etc. to an existing study.

Tufts AI Faculty Fellows Program
The Tufts AI Faculty Fellows program will bring together a cross-school cohort of faculty who will support AI-related conversations in their schools and departments, develop discipline-specific guidance and resources, and complete a project connected to the education or professional learning of students, faculty, or staff.
Fellows will receive funding and individualized support for their work, while joining a cross-school community of peers to think through how AI is affecting their disciplines. As part of the program, they will engage colleagues in conversations about ethical questions, develop practical resources for their local contexts, and carry out an educational pilot project.
Applications for the 2026–27 academic year are due September 25. More information, examples of possible projects, and the application are available on the AI Faculty Fellows page. Please share this opportunity with faculty in your department who may be interested.

- Accepting Established Investigator, First Award, Pilot Study and Fellowship Training applications focused on any topic advancing the health and overall welfare of domesticated felines.
- Full proposal submission is by invitation only, November 18–December 30, 2026.
- VSS RFP Round 2 — Opens October 7
- Application period open October 7–November 25
- Any relevant feline, canine, equid or wildlife health topic.
- Provides up to a $5,500 stipend to support DVM or equivalent students completing a short research project.
