Biography
Dr. Caitlin Jozwiak is a veterinary medical oncologist whose clinical and research interests focus on companion animal cancer, cancer-associated inflammation, and prognostic biomarkers. Her research includes investigations of feline cancer cachexia, high-grade alimentary lymphoma, and the tumor microenvironment and genomic signatures of canine osteosarcoma. She is particularly interested in translating advances in cancer biology understanding into clinically relevant strategies that can improve prognostication and care for veterinary cancer patients.
Dr. Jozwiak completed her VMD at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and MS in Immunology at Drexel University, followed by a small animal rotating internship and Medical Oncology residency at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University.
At Tufts, Dr. Jozwiak has served as Chief Resident, supporting resident and intern mentorship and fostering a collaborative learning environment. She is also a voting member of the Veterinary Cancer Society Executive Committee and serves as Chair of the Trainee Development Committee, where she contributes to educational programming, mentorship initiatives, and professional development for the next generation of veterinary oncologists.
