This dual-degree program provides an opportunity for a limited number of qualified students seeking the doctor of veterinary medicine (D.V.M.) degree to earn the one-year master of arts (MA) degree at the The Fletcher School, the finest school of its kind in the world.
The program is designed to prepare veterinary students who intend to seek international policy-making positions in the provision of a wide range of veterinary services. These areas may include livestock development, wildlife management, fisheries biology, herd health management, pharmaceutical development, and environmental issues. Coursework at Fletcher encompasses economics, international food and agriculture policy, the debt crisis of the developing world, international law, diplomacy, politics, and environmental issues.
Interested applicants should apply separately to each school and must meet the respective admission criteria of each.
