Haul-In Services

The haul-in facility at Tufts Veterinary Field Service boasts a large, heated, fully accessible room designed to handle a multitude of species and procedures. It is equipped to accommodate many services typically performed in the field, as well as some select procedures that are better performed in a more controlled setting.

Clients are welcome to request a haul-in appointment, that may be accommodated in most situations. Our staff may also request that you bring your animal to us depending on the care needed, potential clients with needs outside our service area, and for many elective reproductive procedures.

Some services best provided at our clinic include:

• Assisted reproductive work for cattle, sheep and goats: embryo collection and transfer, buck/ram semen collection and freezing, and laparoscopic artificial insemination of does and ewes.
• Lameness exams, mass removal and treatments, joint injections and complex dental work, such as extractions.
• Surgical procedures requiring general anesthesia
• Digital X-ray, endoscopy, in-depth ultrasound imaging
