Client Information
Arrival:
Please check-In with reception prior to unloading your animal. Our reception area is located through the main entrance adjacent to the paved parking area. We will be available to help bring your animal into the haul-in area.
Planning for your visit:
During your visit, one of our service team members will greet you and record a brief history of your animal. The veterinarian, technician and/or senior student will begin the examination.
After the exam, the veterinarian will create and discuss the details of a care plan and a cost estimate for further treatment can be provided by our front office staff. Our team members will guide you through the appointment and are more than happy to answer any questions regarding your animal’s diagnosis and treatment options.
Treatment plans:
In general, treatment plans include estimated costs and are based on the anticipated course of action. They do not include costs associated with additional tests, unanticipated complications, unanticipated findings, etc. Costs not included in the estimated treatment plan are still the client's responsibility.
Tufts Veterinary Field Service welcomes and encourages communication and updates regarding a patient’s status and/or inquiries about diagnostics and ongoing treatment plans.
Discharge information:
At the end of your appointment, we will provide you with written, or electronic, discharge instructions that detail both the examination and future care plans. A copy of the imaging studies performed during the visit will also be provided. Any follow-up appointments can be booked either at the time of check-out, or at a time more convenient to you.
Payment:
Payment for all services is due at the time they are provided. All new clients will be required to provide a credit card to be pre-authorized for the estimated amount of the visit. Clients are encouraged to keep cards on file with our office. In the event that the initial treatment plan changes, during or following a visit, an updated estimate will be provided. We accept cash, business or bank checks (no personal checks can be accepted at this time), MasterCard, Discover, Visa, American Express and Care Credit.
