Referring a client to Foster Hospital is easy with veterinarian liaison support.
The diagnostic imaging service at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine is one of the largest such specialist groups in the country, with six board-certified radiologists and the most advanced imaging equipment available.
The Cummings School's superior equipment and faculty expertise ensure high-quality images every time. Our state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging suite includes a 1.5 Tesla MRI unit, two ultrasound rooms, a fully equipped nuclear medicine suite and a helical multislice CT unit. Both the MRI and CT suites are the only units of their kind serving equine and companion animals in New England. In addition, traditional radiology services include four fully digital (filmless) X-ray rooms that support an active interventional radiology program.
Although most of our services are provided for in-house specialists, we also offer a consultation service to the regional network of veterinarians who require rapid interpretation of their own medical imaging studies by our specialists. An outpatient imaging referral service is available for private practice veterinarians for their patients that require special imaging tests.
