BS Biology; Spanish Cultural Studies, Tufts University, 2021

Why did you choose to pursue this degree, and why did you choose Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine to pursue this degree?

Hi! My name is Jason and I am from New York. In 2021 I graduated from Tufts University with a BS in Biology and second major in Spanish Cultural Studies. Before pursuing higher education, I spent the 2021-2022 academic year working at a Spanish university as an English Teaching Assistant through the Fulbright program. After a year away from the sciences, I am excited to get back into my PPE in the MS-IDGH program!

What are your career goals after completing the program?

Since my interests lie broadly in the health sciences, the intersectional nature of the program between animal and human health is highly appealing and one that I hope leads me to a career path. In undergrad, I really enjoyed Microbiology lab and One-Health courses and look forward to expanding my knowledge. Outside of biology, I enjoy learning languages, doing art, baking, exploring, and though I have no pets, I love animals.
