Why did you choose to pursue this degree, and why did you choose Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine to pursue this degree?

I found MAPP when looking into the backgrounds of staff and directors of non-profit organizations that I support. While in MAPP, I want to focus on improving communication and learning about law, research, and statistics. I see myself as a bridge between different stakeholders to improve the conditions of animals. My current focus is on advocacy for more humane farming and for pets that are not kept well leading up to their arrival at pet stores and after purchase or adoption.

What are your career goals after completing the program?

With the advocacy training from MAPP, I will be a more useful voice for animal (including human) protections. After working with students, professors, and outside speakers, I know my view will broaden so I will wait to see whether to continue in non-profit or move in a different direction.
