Biography
Dr. Showers was born and raised in Mackinaw, Illinois. She developed an interest in science and medicine at an early age, and decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She received her BS in molecular genetics and DVM from The Ohio State University, during which time she developed a passion for veterinary cardiology. Dr. Showers completed a Small Animal Rotating Internship at the University of Wisconsin. Her professional interests include all things cardiology, research, and veterinary education. Dr. Showers is very excited to be joining the Tufts Cardiology team!
