Dr. Lauren Bookbinder is a Large Animal Internal Medicine specialist providing field and in-hospital service to horses and farm animals. As an internist, her clinical specialties include maternal/neonatal wellness and care, assessment and treatment of neurologic, respiratory and gastrointestinal disease, infectious disease diagnosis, treatment and control, and providing general health and wellness care to horses and farm animals – including a newfound admiration for the potbellied pig patient!
Lauren is a life-long horse owner who grew up riding hunter/jumpers in New York. She completed her undergraduate a veterinary training at Cornell University, and an equine internship at BW Furlongs in New Jersey, followed by a three-year internal medicine residency at Michigan State University. When Lauren is not working, she is often found riding her eventer, Cessna, or spending time with her husband Colin and their two dogs, Finn and Georgia
