BVM&S (DVM) University of Edinburgh 2017

My name is Erin Goodreau and I’m from western Massachusetts. My undergraduate studies were completed at Westfield State University in 2012 where I majored in biology and minored in both chemistry and general science. During my time at Westfield, I worked as a veterinary technician, volunteered at the Tufts Wildlife Clinic, and had the opportunity to volunteer twice with Project Samana in the Dominican Republic, all with the goal of pursuing veterinary school. I moved to Scotland where I completed my veterinary degree at the University of Edinburgh in 2017. Since graduation, I have worked as a small animal associate veterinarian in western Massachusetts. I hope further study in the field of infectious disease with a global health lens will allow for career opportunities in government, industry, or specialist residency programs. In my free time, I enjoy binge-watching comedy television, running, swimming, and hiking, especially with my husband and my strong-willed mutt named Arya.
