Biography
My name is Danny Dickason. I earned a bachelor’s degree in animal science from UC Davis in 2005 and a doctorate in veterinary medicine from Tufts in 2009. After practicing small animal medicine for 10 years in the San Francisco Bay Area, I left fulltime practice and joined a pipefitting labor union for a little over a year. During this time, I found my interest in conservation and renewable energy growing stronger but, with limited experience, I was unable to secure gainful employment in these fields. To my delight, the MCM program offers the very skills and foundation required for many of the positions and career paths I am seeking! I aim to contribute to the knowledge around renewable energy programs and their effects on local wildlife populations and ecological balance. Outside of my professional life, you will find me riding, repairing, and modifying my motorcycles, skateboarding like I am still 15 years old, camping, mountain biking, and enjoying live music.
