Biography

My name is Arianna Efstatos! I graduated from Stockton University in New Jersey in 2017 with degrees in Environmental Science and Biology, and a minor in Mathematics. Up until January, I worked with the Natural Resource Conservation Service as a Civil Engineer Technician. Environmental preservation in agriculture is an important component in the fight towards a sustainable future, but I knew my career interests oriented more towards wildlife and research. I spent the summer working for a research organization protecting migratory beach-nesting birds; the photo is of me helping band a black skimmer!

When I’m not working, I love to surf, play basketball, and spend time with my two cats and dog, whom I love very much!

What’s distinctive about this program was the intersection of three important components of universal health: animals, people, and the environment. I’m also looking forward to getting valuable experience through externships! MCM’s holistic focus resonates with me because it will take many disciplines to solve today’s conservation initiatives.
