Biography

Dr. Shaylan Meyer is a Resident in the Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care Service at the Foster Hospital for Small Animals at Tufts University. She grew up on Long Island, New York and attended Binghamton University where she studied Biology and English Literature as an undergraduate. Dr. Meyer received her veterinary degree from Ross University after finishing her clinical year studies at the University of Minnesota. After graduation, she completed her rotating internship at the Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center of Westbury back home on Long Island. Between completing her internship and starting residency, Dr. Meyer worked for several months as an emergency clinician. When not in the hospital, she enjoys reading, writing poetry, playing music, lounging at the beach, and cheering for her favorite sports teams. She lives with her husband, Michael, their Coconut Retriever, Quinn, and their cat, Josie.
