Biography
Dr. Giannasi earned her undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Giannasi developed her interest in neurology while attending veterinary school. During this time, Dr. Giannasi also developed an interest in research and published a paper on the topic of intracranial pressure in dogs with brain tumors. She is additionally interested in neurorehabilitation and became certified in acupuncture through CuraCore in 2019. Following graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Giannasi went on to complete a small animal rotating internship at VCA Alameda East in Denver, Colorado. In her free time she enjoys hiking, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her Shetland Sheepdog, Brody.
