Health Services & Counseling
Our students' well-being is the priority of the Cummings Support Center (CSC) and the Student Advisory and Health Administration (SAHA), a division of Tufts University Student Affairs for the Boston and Grafton health sciences campuses. Through the CSC, students receive academic support, career counseling, and behavioral health services. While there are no medical services provided at the Grafton campus office, students find a number of other helpful resources, services, and information. An annual mandatory health administration fee is required for all students for the services provided by the SAHA:
- Collection of immunization history
- Administration of the student health insurance plan
- Counseling
Health Insurance
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Tufts University Health Sciences Schools require all matriculated students of higher education to participate in a student health insurance plan. Students may enroll in the student insurance plan offered by Tufts University or maintain private coverage as long as it meets or exceeds the minimum state requirements. The Grafton campus' student health insurance plan is underwritten by HPHC Insurance Company, an affiliate of Harvard Pilgrim Health Plan, and administered by United Healthcare Student Resources (UHCSR). Coverage includes primary and emergency care, major medical coverage, a prescription plan, eye care, mental health benefits and many other services.
