The DVM/MS in Laboratory Animal Medicine program offers motivated veterinary students valuable training in laboratory animal medicine and animal resource management in conjunction with their DVM training. The objective of this program is to provide the biomedical research community with skilled veterinarians who can fulfill needed positions in research facilities immediately upon graduation.
Students seeking admission to this program should have successfully completed the first semester of the DVM program at the Cummings School and be full-time students in good academic standing. An application for admission should be submitted by May 15 of a student’s first year of veterinary school. Up to six students meeting all application requirements are admitted to the DVM/MS-LAM program each year.
Tuition for the DVM/MS-LAM degree ($9,704) is in addition to the DVM tuition ($51,460/$58,360) and is payable according to Tufts University guidelines. Financial aid is available to students through MS tuition support from various sources. Find out more about tuition at Cummings School.
