COVID-19 Guidance: Guidance and operational updates for Cummings School and its veterinary teaching hospitals
face drawn on the sidewalk with chalk for the Art Heals: a Senior Perspective event for the Blackstone Valley Technical School Seniors

Good Morning Jean,

On behalf of Blackstone Valley Vocational Regional School District, I sincerely thank you for your support of our event “Art Heals- The BVT Chalk Art Festival”. We were finally able to host our event in May as an in-school field trip for senior students. Our students completed chalk art pieces all around the outside of the school building. Generous support from Tufts University Cummings School Service Fund (CSSF) provided students with the materials necessary to complete their artwork, while the event itself promoted mental health awareness and served as the perfect example of resilience in a year that has been unlike any other.

Attached to this email, I have included a summary of our event, as well as some news articles about the event from local papers. Additional photos and information from the event can be found on our Creativity for a Cause webpage on the BVT website at this link: https://www.valleytech.k12.ma.us/creativityforacause

Once again, thank you for your tremendous support of our students and community in bringing awareness to mental health, the importance of resilience, and the healing powers of art!

Best,

Mary Teresa
