Post-doctoral Scholar positions in Microbiology/Immunology
The Department of Infectious Diseases and Global Health (IDGH) at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University is located in North Grafton, approximately 40 miles from Boston, MA. The North Grafton campus is located within walking distance from the MBTA commuter rail allowing easy access to Boston campuses.
Position Overview: These positions are ideally suited for individuals, who have postdoctoral qualifications with prior experience working with animal models and possess lab techniques that include handling infectious agents and immunological assays. Experience working in a BSL3 environment and monoclonal antibody production and characterization will be an advantage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The candidates will be asked to work as part of a team but will be assigned individual projects for which they will be fully responsible to develop and execute. The expectation is that the candidates will demonstrate excellent communication skills, have high organizational skills, be highly self-motivated, and will be encouraged to be resourceful and be a team player.
Qualifications and Experience: PhD with a focus on microbiology, immunology, and associated lab skills such as cell culturing, molecular skills including PCR, RT-PCR, cloning.
