Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in North Grafton, MA invites applications for a 12-month renewable faculty position as a Clinical Skills Instructor for the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program.  Requirements include a DVM degree or its equivalent and completion of at least two years of clinical practice.  Small animal primary care experience is a minimum requirement and preference will be given to individuals with mixed animal experience and/or primary care surgical experience.  Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Strengths are required in teaching and clinical service.  This is primarily a teaching position, with some opportunities for clinical practice within one of the school’s primary care services.

The selected candidate will join other faculty and staff members in developing and delivering two large clinical skills courses taught in the first and second years of the Tufts DVM program.  Depending upon interests and experience, the person in this position may also provide surgical instruction in the third-year Introduction to Small Animal Anesthesia and Surgery Techniques (ISAAST) course, general medicine instruction in the fourth-year small animal Primary Care Plus elective, ultrasound training, or preventative health and emergency care for farm animals at the Cummings School Farm.
