COVID-19 Guidance: Guidance and operational updates for Cummings School and its veterinary teaching hospitals

Location

Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, North Grafton, MA

Description

The Byrnes-Vassoler Lab at Tufts University has two open postdoctoral positions in the Section of Neuroscience and Reproductive Biology in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. We are currently hiring for our NIH funded project focusing on intergenerational effects of prenatal opioid exposure. These studies utilize a model of oxycodone intravenous self-administration during pregnancy to determine both the immediate and lasting effects of neonatal opioid withdrawal using behavioral and molecular approaches. Our lab is broadly interested in transgenerational epigenetic effects that influence behavioral health, including effects that are both age – and sex-specific.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in neuroscience, molecular biology, developmental biology, or a related field. We are looking for highly motivated, organized scientists with a strong interest in preclinical models of substance use disorders. They will join a collaborative team of behavioral neuroscientists who are highly supportive and focused on career development.

The Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine is located in North Grafton, Massachusetts, 30 miles west of Boston. Located on a bucolic 594-acre campus, the Byrnes-Vassoler Lab recently moved into a newly renovated 1020 sq.ft. laboratory space.
