Small Ruminant Reproductive Management

When it comes time to breed your small ruminant, the Tufts Ambulatory Service is available to help with both routine pregnancies and more complex breeding problems. Reproductive counseling can help a client determine when to breed, at what age to breed, and what to look for in a breeding animal. Transabdominal and transrectal ultrasounds can help monitor pregnancies. Breeding soundness exams can help determine whether your animal is fit to breed. Help is also available for problem breeders, whether they be unreceptive, too receptive, or are having difficulties getting pregnant.
