Shelter Medicine Program Curriculum

The Tufts Shelter Medicine Program provides content in the core DVM and MAPP curriculum for all students. In addition there is a selection of experiential and didactic courses that pre-clinical students can take during selective time. Elective rotations in medicine and surgery are available during the clinical year and take place both on and off the Cummings school campus, utilizing a network of partnering organizations.

The curriculum for the study of shelter medicine is organized into a series of Key Domains modified by a list generated by the Association of Shelter Veterinarians.
