New England Regional Biosafety Laboratory Biosafety Level 3 Capabilities
The Biosafety Level-3 area of the NE-RBL contains three laboratory suites; two with a shared autoclave, one with a dedicated autoclave. Equipment featured in this area includes:
- Type A2 Biosafety Cabinets (100 percent recirculating),
- one Class-II, Type B2 Biosafety Cabinet (100 percent exhaust),
- and gowning and shower vestibules.
