Rita Bhardwaj

Rita Bhardwaj received her Baccalaureate in 1999 and Master in 2001 from HPKV, HP India. During her Masters program she developed a protocol for purifying tannase from Aspergillus niger and also characterized the enzyme, from which she has following publication. She worked for two years at PGIMER, Chandigarh, India, where she focused on determining the correlation between the hematological abnormalities and stroke in young patients. She joined the Molecular Helminthology Laboratory in 2006 and is currently trying to unveil the role of tegumental enzymes of Schistosoma mansoni in its immune evasion strategies.
